Heathrow Airport is located in Hillingdon, West London, just 14 miles (23 km) west of Central London and approximately 30 minutes by car via nearby M25 and M4 Motorway connections.
Thanks to its easy access to Central London and its role as one of the largest, most important aviation hubs in the world, (LHR) Heathrow may seem like the ideal airport for your charter flight to London, but there are heavy congestion issues both in the air and on the ground — unless you’re connecting to a commercial flight, it’s best to use other London-area airports with more of a focus on private aviation.
We have access to thousands of private jets at a moment’s notice, and all of the aircraft we arrange is operated by FAA part 135 and 121 (or foreign equivalent) certified air carriers that meet and/or exceed our safety standards. Whether you’re planning ahead or need an ASAP supplemental lift, we can arrange your flight in as little as 4-6 hours.

Chartering a private flight to (EGLL) Heathrow Airport is one of the most secure, stylish and comfortable ways to arrive in London, however, it’s not always the most efficient.
Given the enormous amount of air traffic served by only two runways, planes are frequently asked to to hold for up to 30 minutes prior to landing, and it can take an additional 30 minutes to taxi to one of the private terminals — these factors can potentially add more than 1 hour to your trip.
That said, more than 80 airlines fly to 185 destinations in 84 countries via Heathrow Airport, allowing business jet passengers to connect to commercial flights; likewise, clients may choose to fly commercial to one of the world’s most important aviation hubs, and continue via private jet charter to destinations airlines can not reach.
Speak to one of our brokers to review the goals of your flight — it may be more cost effective and and quicker to use one of London’s additional airports such as (FAB) Farnborough, with ground transportation taking you to/from Heathrow for your connecting flight.
London Heathrow can accommodate any private jet with two major runways and a third on the way. Both runways measure over 12,000 feet in length to allow private and commercial airliners to operate here — Heathrow is the primary hub for British Airways and the primary operating base for Virgin Atlantic, and the airport handled a record number of passenger — 75.7 million — in 2016.
Facilities include four passenger terminals and two FBO terminals for jet charter clients (Dnata Private Aviation Services & Signature Flight Support).
Although Heathrow Airport (LHR) offers a dedicated FBO for private jets, delays are often experienced both in the air and on the ground, and also while getting in/out of the airport. Unless jet charter clients are transferring directly to/from an international flight, ACA recommends using other London area airports for your charter flight.
When you arrange your private flight with Air Charter Advisors, you can enjoy on-demand access to thousands of private jets and turboprops based in London and across the globe.
