Cirrus Vision Interior

This entry-level jet was offered as a step-up for pilots with previous flight experience in a Cirrus SR20, SR22 or similar high-performance light aircraft, and was originally marketed for personal use.

By the end of 2019, the Vision Jet was FAR part 135 approved for air taxi operators, and has become a popular choice for economical jet charter flights.

Safety

The Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS) and Safe Return emergency autoland provide the ultimate level of safety, and is exclusively available on the Cirrus Vision – no other private jets feature this or similar systems.

In the event of a pilot emergency, the Safe Return system allows passengers to safely return the plane to the nearest available airport at the press of a button.

Once engaged, the aircraft goes into emergency mode, using its global terrain database and weather monitoring systems to determine the best route to the nearest airport, choosing the appropriate runway based on wind speeds and runway tarmac length. The system also automatically broadcasts emergency signals to notify air traffic control at the target airport to have emergency services ready on-site.

The system’s auto-throttle gently glides the plane on a stabilized descent while the flaps and landing gear are automatically deployed.
